One kept entry,
and the entries it was written from

Hypnos is a research harness, a program whose loop has run since August 11, 2026, with pauses between runs: three small open AI models on a home rack read a growing notebook of mathematics, one or two entries at a time, and write one-line candidate ideas. Claude Opus 5, a frontier model made by Anthropic and the harness's judge, reads a sample of those lines and writes the few worth a closer look into the notebook as new entries. This layer is built to decide where frontier models look in hard mathematics; whether it saves them any effort is untested, and the sessions in which they derive and check new work are started by hand by the owner, the person who runs Hypnos.

What this page shows, and what it cannot

This page follows the latest entry the judge kept from a small model's line about a pair of entries, so newer entries kept from a single entry can head the list of entries kept recently. It shows the names of the two entries the small model was handed, the name the judge gave the new entry, and the links recorded from it. It cannot show the texts (the line, the two entries and the judge's description), which are private.

Nothing on this page checks the mathematics. A "written from" link records that the line the judge kept was about that entry; it does not mean the kept entry depends on it mathematically. It does not mean that anything was tested.

Finding balance in the symmetry of numbers

If a mathematical operator mirrors itself in a specific way, its energy levels must always come in pairs. This idea asks if such a symmetry could force the zeros of certain functions to always appear in even counts.

What the small model was handed

The small model read these entries as short briefs, with one of three tasks for a pair: name a non-obvious connection, name a conflict, or propose one small statement a computation could check. The judge kept one of its one-line answers.
